5 Signs Limiting Beliefs Are Holding You Back (And How to Break Free)

Hi, I’m Dr. Kent. I’m a holistic chiropractor using remote kinesiology to release trauma, reclaim their energy, and restore their lives. Trauma bound in our bodies keeps us perpetually in stress physiology, and when we’re in stress nothing works. It eventually manifests as physical conditions, repeated stress patterns, and limiting beliefs. I help clients release the root cause of their condition so they can realize their dreams. If you’re ready for more, then book discovery call and let’s make it happen.

It might sound wild, but deep down, there’s a part of you that’s terrified of success. You might keep yourself sick, distracted, or playing small—not because you want to, but because past traumas and conditioning have wired your subconscious to feel safe at this level of thriving. These unresolved emotions have solidified into limiting beliefs, like knots in your subconscious that keep you stuck in a loop, replaying the same old patterns instead of making real progress towards your dreams—whether that’s finding love, healing your body, growing your business, or unleashing your creative potential.

You’re probably thinking that sure that has something to do with it. But it has everything to do with your current pain. That’s because you are 95% subconscious.

Here’s the truth: we build our world from the inside out. The "apps" running in your subconscious dictate how your mind, body, and life unfold. If those apps are coded with stress, trauma, and unprocessed emotions, they’ll form a glass ceiling you can’t seem to break through—no matter how hard you try. To create sustainable progress and step into the life you deserve, you have to release those blocks and reprogram your subconscious.

The first step is acknowledging that they are there.

Here are five telltale signs that subconscious reprogramming is a priority for you—and an invitation to do something about it.

1. Physical Conditions Won’t Budge

You’ve tried all the “right” things—cleanses, acupuncture, bodywork — but persistent physical conditions (chronic pain, fatigue, tension) just won’t heal. It’s like your body’s stuck in a loop, replaying the same symptoms. Why? Unresolved trauma and stress can lodge in your nervous system, forming limiting beliefs that tell your body, “Healing isn’t possible.” Your subconscious might be clinging to these conditions because even though they are miserable, they’re safe. Acknowledging and integrating those patterns is essential to create mindbody coherence. Then you can finally heal sustainably.

2. Overwhelm Keeps You Stuck

You’ve got big goals (healing your body, building a practice, realizing a more authentic life), but the concrete steps to get there feel elusive. Then you slide into overwhelm and nothing seems to change. This up and down dynamic often stems from a limiting belief in the background saying, “I’m not ready,”  “This is too much for me,” or the pervasive “I’m not good enough”. Until you rewrite that old pattern, overwhelm will be a dead weight that prevents real progress in your life.

3. Self-Sabotage Derails Your Momentum

You’re finally gaining traction—maybe you’re eating better, showing up for your goals, or feeling a spark of progress. Then, out of nowhere, you take yourself out. You scroll social media for hours, overeat, lean on substances, or splurge on buying things you don’t need. These numbing habits aren’t random—they’re you bumping against your own glass ceiling. A limiting belief like “I don’t deserve this” or “success isn’t safe” kicks in, pulling you back to familiar territory.

4. Negative Self-Talk Runs the Show

Our thoughts are just reflections of the tone of our nervous system. As you tune into your inner world, you notice fear, judgment, doubt, and shame bubbling to the surface. Parts of you believe that progress isn’t possible, that you’re not worthy of it, that it’s for “other” people. You can sense this in your internal dialogue and the habitual tension patterns of your physical body. This negative self-talk isn’t just noise—it’s a symptom of deeper limiting beliefs rooted in past experiences. It creates a negative cycle, shaping your feelings and behavior which then perpetuate the same undigested emotions that they sprung from. This is especially true for 30 somethings who are building their lives and careers in a world where there is so much external noise drowning out our inner knowing.

5. Creativity Feels Blocked

We can’t create when we’re in a state of stress. Limiting beliefs keep us in a perpetual state of alarm where our subconscious says “you can’t afford to just enjoy yourself and play”. Some form of “something is wrong”, “I have to do something”, or “there’s not enough” comes up and snatches you out of your creative flow. So then you unconsciously funnel your energy into what’s familiar—busywork, routines, old habits—rather than investing in what moves you toward your goals. It’s like you’re pedaling hard in a spin class: burning calories but going nowhere.

The Way Forward: Release and Reclaim

If any of these signs hit home, you’re not alone—and you’re not doomed to stay stuck. The 30s are a pivotal decade, a time when you’ve got the resources and drive to invest in healing your body and realizing your dreams. But to break through, you need to release the trauma, stress, and unresolved emotions fueling those limiting beliefs. That’s where subconscious reprogramming comes in.

It IS possible to turn down the dial on overwhelm, self-sabotage, and healing persistent physical conditions. We can reconnect to Life and feel our creative energy flowing again. And when that weight is dropped and noise cleared, we do reconnect with that inner knowing that guides us to realize our authentic expression in the world.

Remote healing—whether through chiropractic kinesiology, subconscious reprogramming, or emotional release—can help you do just that. It’s about rewiring those inner apps so you can walk right through that glass ceiling.

Ready to stop feeling stuck in your 30s? The first step is to acknowledge the signs. From there, it’s time to do something about it. It’s not by reading another book. It’s not by listening to another podcast. Neither is it by fighting them, blaming yourself, or working harder. You’ve done all that (perhaps that’s what the 20’s are about). It’s about taking sustainable, actionable steps to acknowledge and accept those patterns so you can reclaim your energy and heal.

As a remote chiropractor I help inspired but stuck humans like yourself heal trauma and clear limiting beliefs all at a distance. If you’re ready to create something new in your world, then let’s talk. You can book a free discovery call and find more information on Clarity sessions on my website You deserve the life that you know is possible for yourself—let’s make it happen.

In freedom,
