If you’re in your 30’s and you feel the weight of creating financial stability and abundance.. It’s not just the “how” of it all, but the pressure to have to do it—and in a certain way. The world feels shaky with uncertainty swirling in the culture. You can feel it. Your energy feels spread thin, making it feel like the proverbial hamster wheel. And let’s be real: it can feel downright unfair, like the generations before us had it easier—buying a house, raising kids, one partner working as a school teacher while the other stayed home.

The reasons to feel stuck financially—valid or not, real or not—are endless. So are the excuses for staying sick, lonely, or disconnected from purpose. I’m not here to dismiss those feelings; they’re valid. But I’m also here to say they don’t have to define you. There is a different way. You can heal trauma.

People Get Stuck in Their Finances Because of Trauma Bound in Their Nervous System

Where you put your energy is where your life flows—mentally, emotionally, physically. If you’re fixated on what’s missing, what’s impossible, or what feels stuck, you’re pouring yourself into that reality. You don’t do it because it works. You’re stuck because of trauma.

When I say trauma, I mean any experience your nervous system couldn’t process at the time. It’s like a knot tied tight in your body, looping you back to the same old patterns. Big moments—like loss or betrayal—or small ones—like little stresses you never shook off—can both leave marks. We all carry these knots, and they keep you in a state of stress, manifesting as limiting beliefs, chronic tension, and that sense you can’t break through. It can feel like things outside you are holding you back — but it’s undigested emotions and experiences locked in your nervous system, blocking your path to subconscious healing.

Old Stress and Undigested Emotions Become a Glass Ceiling on Your Thriving

This trauma creates a glass ceiling over your finances and your life. That’s why it feels like you have to hustle hard, and even when you do you’re not getting ahead. You save up, then—bam—something unexpected hits. You dream up bold career moves or creative projects, but they never really go anywhere. It’s like you’re stuck in neutral, and that’s because you are. Your nervous system sets the limit on how much thriving it can handle. The more old stress you’re holding, the lower that upper limit.

If you’re spinning on that hamster wheel, it’s because parts of you aren’t aligned with the abundance you say you want. You consciously want it, but your body’s whispering, “This isn’t safe,” “There’s not enough,” or “I’m not worthy.” Sound familiar? These stories run in the 95% of us that’s subconscious, shaping our reality. The question is: will you let them keep you stuck, a victim of circumstance? Or will you turn inward, release the trauma and limiting beliefs, and expand your capacity to thrive?

A Personal Example

I’ve lived this. Through my own practices—meditation, time in nature, movement—and working with my remote chiropractor for remote trauma healing, I’ve watched layers of trauma bubble up in my mind and body. Every time I level up in my practice or life, a scared part of me tries to pull me back to “safe” misery—showing up as limiting thoughts, urges to overeat, or waves of fatigue.

But now? I’m not afraid of it. It doesn’t own me. I welcome it, because I’ve got tools to see these patterns for what they are: gifts. Every time I face them with my practices and remote emotional release, the energy trapped in that trauma comes back to me. I’m freer to create, serve, and thrive. This can be your story too.

How to Create Freedom from the Inside Out

Step 1: See the Truth

Your financial stuckness isn’t about the outside world—it’s an inside job. Feeling stuck and feeling free both start within. I hope this article helps you see why: it’s trauma, not taxes or your boss, that’s holding you back.

Step 2: Accept It

You can’t move forward until you say, “Okay, this is mine to work with.” Acceptance isn’t giving up—it’s the key to clearing limiting beliefs, online or otherwise. Once you stop fighting, it gets fun.

Step 3: Build Practices and Get Support

You need two things: personal practices and a skilled guide. Practices like meditation, breathwork, music, or running help you get still, letting your nervous system unwind old knots. Meditation is my go-to—it’s the most simple, accessible, and powerful technology I know for purifying the mind.

Then, find a mindbody practitioner—like me. As a Remote Chiropractor, I use remote kinesiology to pinpoint the patterns behind your limiting beliefs and help you release them, reprogramming your subconscious for abundance. I get this work weekly myself, and it’s transformative. If you’re serious about thriving, book a free discovery call on my website to see if remote therapy for limiting beliefs is your next step.

Start Small and Build Momentum

Starting can feel daunting, but every knot you untie with stress and trauma release gives you energy back. You’ll see it in your health, your mood, your bank account. As you build momentum it's more fun, easier, and more possibility opens up. I want this for you, just like I want it for me and everyone.
